    Description

    Genuine RCA CDP1802ACE CPU
I also got these by "mistake" well it was more
    nefarious
than a mistake. I was purchasing Harris CDP1802ACE as they advertised - they sent me these vintage RCA chips instead. If you want to know whom not to trust if you plan on importing Harris CDP1802ACE then contact me privately.
Many of the chips that I am NOT SELLING look like "pulls" (used) from old circuit boards. The only signs I can see are that the markings are faded badly or worn or the finish is "odd looking" compared to other chips. Sometimes the finish on the tin legs looks odd too as if the whole leg had been tinned...  I won't be selling any of those to you even though they seem to work fine.
I got two shipments of these from that supplier about 200-chips.The ones that seem to be new are on eBay. I think I can sell about 40% of them. Honestly the reason why I like using Harris chips is that I know they are of recent manufacture. That means they use the latest fabrication technology which leads to great reliability.
If you purchase these CPU just remember they are very old (I guess it is an extreme case of "new but old stock".) I will definitely guarantee not DOA (I repeat this) in any case because things can randomly happen.  Example:
One more gamma ray hits it and it breaks the camels back in some gate or junction so to speak?
Most of this batch seem to be "RCA X" with the batch numbers being in the 400s.
There are some "RCA Z" as well.  If you have any questions, please ask before purchasing.
I have tested every single CPU listed on eBay and are
    guaranteed not DOA
. I have a cool 1802 CPU Test board (Hi Molnar!) I have been using for 4 years now and it is so valuable for me. Every CPU will be individually packaged in an anti-static tube and then wrapped in plastic wrap.
I had to raise the price slightly I apologise.
Thank you for looking! Please check out my other listings!
    NOTE:
    (1)  Image is courtesy of cpu-world.com (we left the credits on the image too. Thanks CPU World!) The other image is of actual chips I am selling. If you look closely you can see the extent of some of the fading of markings. You need great eyesight or some magnification sometimes. I guess the ink didn't hold up to all the decades since they were stamped.
