Product Description:
Copper Weld-Thru Primer 12.5 oz Aerosol
An anti-corrosive coating that has excellent adhesion and flexibility. Applied on steel or galvanized metal, it stops rust by an electro-chemical reaction even in highly corrosive environments. Prevents rust creepage in the area of scratches unlike conventional primers. Apply to ferrous metals prior to welding to prevent corrosion and rust. May be applied after the weld for additional protection.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: A clean surface is necessary. Remove all rust, scale, paint and grease. All substrates must be degreased and sanded. For best results, use when temperature of the product and surface is between 68°F to 75°F (20°C to 24°C).
1. Shake can for 1 minute after mixing ball moves freely and repeat shaking for10 seconds after each minute of use.
NOTE: Insufficient mixing may cause permanent plugging of the spray head.
Apply directly to dry metal or galvanized surfaces. Do not apply over any other paints or coatings.
Hold can approximately 8-10” (20 - 25cm) from surface, spraying evenly.
To assure that entire contents will be dispensed, always have the dot on can rim facing toward surface to be sprayed.
When finished, turn can upside down and spray about 3 seconds to clean out valve and spray head.
DRY TIMES: Allow to dry for 15 minutes before welding.
RECOATING: May be re-coated after 2 to 16 hours or after 36 hours
