NAKAMICHI
AM FM RADIO / TAPE PLAYER / CD CONTROL removed from a 1994 Lexus LS400 Sedan. Whenever Lexus wanted to put the best Sound System possible in their Vehicles they Always used Nakamichi. Unfortunately this Company is No Longer in Business and these used Radios are all that are now available - they are exceedingly Rare. The Nakamichi Part Number for the Radio is C717UL0A and the Lexus Part Number is 86120-50250. This Item was removed from a wrecked Automobile that was totaled by the Insurance Company. The Radio was tested in the Donor Vehicle before removal and sounded excellent.  Also the Radio was tested on the Bench as shown. Various AM FM Buttons were pressed and the Digital Display worked properly. The LCD Display has No missing Pixels.  All Buttons modulate correctly.  The Digital Display Back Lighting is Functional.  I threw a Tape in the Slot and the Tape Player is
NOT
working. I did go to the trouble to open up the Unit and removed the Tape Player to see if it was easily repairable. It is not and if you check the last Pic I posted you can see why. Some of the Gears are stripped on the Plastic Gear and finding a replacement is more trouble than its worth. To the best of my knowledge this Item was used in Lexus LS400 Sedans built in 1993 and 1994 that have the
